Messed up citations.
-
So, I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here. I run an academic blog and have been doing so for the past two years. I link to a lot of other posts and at the end of my posts I put a Works Cited/Bibliography and cite things using MLA style.
The problem is when I click on the link to go to the site at the bottom of my page. The actual link as you’re reading the site works fine, but if you try to get to it from the written link it doesn’t work.
I’ve discovered it’s because my > and turning into /> can anyone fix that? It’s really weird, and also annoying, because I can’t fix it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ll write the link in brackets like this. < link > And then it will turn into <link /> How can I change that gt back to the thing I put before?
-
also if you want to post code in the forum entries, like this page:
highlight your code and press the “code” button in the toolbar above the input box.
eg
<stuff> la la code </stuff> -
try writing a quick phony test blog and add a link with the short cut I suggested.
This will the code text into your post box.
Take a look at it.The text editor tries to correct what it thinks is an error, and it will add code with “&” if it thinks its just regular text.
… it could just be that your adding a space in the wrong place, or that something is missing in your code.((FYI. > is the code to show an angle bracket or “greater than sign” when it turns it into a post))
-
… if you ar still having a problem,
post an example of the code here in this thread.highlight it, and click that code button
before you hit “submit”. -
