Messed up photographs on blogs
-
First of all I wonder why I have been constantly ignored while complaining about the display quality of my uploaded photos? I have noticed other bloggers complain about more or less the same. Is there anybody on the WordPress team who is willing to give an answer (if not solve the actual problem). My photos look decent only when zoomed in on, otherwise the sharpness and colours are messed up in most of my work. I am very irritated with your absence of answer.
Sincerely,
Blogger from 3 and a half years back blogging atbopaula.wordpress.com (Lost in Translation)

Hi @bopaula, I can see the community tried to help and didn’t hear back from you. I’m actually not seeing the same issue you’re having, either, so we will need more information.
The colors and sharpness look the same to me whether I’m viewing it within the page or not:
https://cloudup.com/cgje_m2nhQRWhile zoomed-in images do look a bit larger, I’m not seeing more sharpness there.
Can you get screenshots of what you’re seeing, and also let us know what browser you’re using? Feel free to upload your screenshots to Cloudup or Dropbox, or just use your own media library.

Hello Supernovia, and thank you very much for finding time to reply me. I honestly don’t know how the community tried to help me with this issue cause I am usually notify if there are any topics or issues that I raised? I will post now a link or two where you can see for yourself how big difference it makes when you zoom in on the photo (which shows the real image) and how muted and dull it looks when not zoomed in. Here https://bopaula.wordpress.com/2015/06/05/reason-for-rainbows-or-rainbow-flowers/
I have no tried to show you screenshot and I also wanted to send you the attachment of both photos (zoomed in and not zoomed in), but it is not possible in this forum window. You can see in the link I sent the difference. Please let me know where I can send you the attachment, and also I would like to see and know where is that “community” that you mentioned that tried to help me with this issue.
Thank you very much!! -
P.S. Sorry for the mispelling; I wanted to say that I have tried now. Also, I forgot to mention that I have checked the site with various browsers: chrome, Internet explorer, Opera, and Firefox.

Just forgot to say that these changes are fairly new. At the time when I uploaded this photo (which is just one of the messed up images) in May 2015 everything was fine. I was absent for four months from September and December and when I came back I was very unpleasantly surprised.

Thanks — I actually do see what you mean on that photo. I’ll dig into this to see what I can find out.
Re: the community, you would need to subscribe to the thread. I can see now you’ve replied on other threads (which never were flagged for staff attention). I was looking at this one though:

Also, can you try this to see whether it changes anything? Another user mentioned it in their thread:
I think I found the problem. I check the profile of my photos and they were not saved in “sRGB”. I tried with one photo, and is Ok.

Thank you, Supernovia. I converted a photo to RGB profile and it works. Thanks for your help.
