Messed UP with domain, hosting and mapping

  Messed up BIG TIME…
  Purchased a domain at GoDaddy . com … just a domain.
  Went to wordpress wanting to get the .wordpress.com and then change but my domain name was taken, meaning the .wordpress.com
  GOT confused as what to do, so I figured out I had to get mapping. Did it, purchased the upgrade of $99, changed the DNS on my domain to the wordpress DNS.

  NOW I REALIZE THIS does not mean I have a hosted version ! AND THATS WHAT I NEEDED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!
  I got confused and didnt purchase the hosted version in Godaddy …

  So QUESTIONS ARE
  1- I asume I would have to get that to change form the free version to the hosted …right?
  2-Do I still need the upgrade? Can I cancel the UPGRADE?
  3-If I get a hosted version at godaddy, does it mess up the mapping…

  As you can see , I am in a mess and confused…
