Messy import!
-
There seem to get messy after importing: the Categories and Sub-categories are not in the right place as what they were created in another WordPress blog.
Eg. >> I created categories as follow: Tutorials>Adobe>Photoshop (there three posts in Photoshop)
>> After importing, the categories turns to be there are three Photoshop categories. Is there a way to maintain the structure.
Note: I import .xml from my free blog.com to my blog on my localhost (is this a problem?) -
I would install a local copy of wordpress downloaded from wordpress.org and try importing your blog into that. Once you get that working, export the WordPress Export File and then import into wordpress.com if that is your chosen blog host.

What I meant is here:
Exported from: http://ttcollection.wordpress.com
Imported to: http://blog.soweicdesign.comAll I have is messy contents, help plz :(
-
The second blog you point to is not a wordpress.com blog and we cannot help you with it.
-
But, so, plz if I go to wordpress.org, they might say my first doesn’t belong to them either :( Where should I get help, buddies?
-
WordPress.org. You got the contents out of WP.com; the problem is getting them into WP.org. But first I would do what Trent suggests. He helps out in both forums and knows his stuff.

That meant the structures of categorizing are different! I have almost up to 500 posts and that’s tone to much to re-categorize, buddies :(

Somebody long ago recommended subscribing to your own RSS feed for each local tag page…that might help?
