Meta data not updating

There are a number of things I’m discovering just won’t update outside of the site. Internally, they save and they look fine, but when I see links outside it’s a different story. Namely, the thumbnail when I link to the blog hasn’t changed over to the new one I uploaded a few days ago (although the correct one does appear under the ‘My Site’ tab) and the site title and front page meta description have not updated since I changed them, either. These parameters are definitely saving, because when I leave WordPress and come back, they’re all still saved. For some reason internal and external materials just aren’t matching up.

It’s possible that your browser’s cookies and/or cache need to be cleared out. See https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
Have you tried viewing your site on a different browser than the one you normally log into when editing your WordPress site?
If not, maybe give that a try to see if your latest updates are showing up correctly.
