Meta description pulling through image title?
-
Hello
I’ve tried contacting WordPress directly but they say this issue is a Google indexing one. However, I can’t understand why my meta description isn’t being pulled through for a particular search. I keep getting an image title and basically gobbledegook within the search when I type ‘Marketing Consultant Christchurch Dorset’. I come up on page 5 or 6 or so. Has anyone ever had this before?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The words “Christchurch” and “Dorset” are not in the meta description you set.
If somebody is searching for those words, the current meta description isn’t very relevant.
Instead, Google is displaying some text from the footer widget in SERP’s because it’s the only place on the home page that actually contains some of the words being searched for (Dorest and Christchurch).
If you want your meta description to appear when you search for that phrase, try including those words in the meta description you’ve set.
