Meta Descriptions and Title Tags

    seo plugin
    I am experienced with SEO and know its importance. I know that you dela with this a lot yourself howver I would like to be able to manage my own if thats possible? I can see that my pages currently have a title tage and meta description, however I have no idea how to change it! Can you point me in the right direction please?

    Also – a seperate question – how come wordpress.org allows plugins but wordpress.com does not? Had I known this difference I would have used wordpress.org.

    Hi there – The title and description tags are controlled by your Site Title and Tagline in Settings->General. You can read more about how SEO works on WordPress.com here:

    Plugins aren’t permitted on WordPress.com for security reasons, as it’s a shared hosting environment. However, a lot of the most-used plugins aren’t necessary here because the same features are built-in. If there is something in particular that you need to do that you cannot do without a plugin, though, you can easily move your site to a self-hosted WordPress installation:
