  You cannot access metadata files and add anything on a free hosted WordPress.com blog and really there is no need since wordpress.com sites have far more search engine exposure than any other platform and will out perform identical self-hosted sites that people have spent hundreds of hours optimizing for the search engines. It simply isn’t needed here.
