Meta tag for iOS App Store link
-
I would like to add a meta tag, so that when my page is loaded on an iOS device, there is a native link to the App Store generated, as is described here: https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariWebContent/PromotingAppswithAppBanners/PromotingAppswithAppBanners.html
There doesn’t seem to be a way to do this. Any help would be great!
Thanks,

Hi there,
To add that line of code, you would need to add it to the source code for your site. Unfortunately, at WordPress.com, we don’t access directly to the source code, due to security and stability concerns.
This is the tradeoff we make in order to keep the millions of sites we host running at top speed with virtually no downtime.
For custom code like that, you’ll need to use your own hosting provider and install the free WordPress software at WordPress.org. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Let me know if you need assistance or if you have any questions.
