Meta Tag for my Home page?

I put a period at the end of my question instead of a question mark.
Old DOS commands (yes, I’m that old).
-
Ah, I vaguely remember that. The therapy is wearing off, obviously. I thought you were telling me to delete this one and install it somewhere else. Been sorely tempted, I’m telling you. If I creep below 500 I will.

Nothing so far, nor Google neither except when this first started Matt Cutts said, “when you google ‘raincoaster’ the blog comes up as the first hit, so obviously there’s nothing wrong.” Which is wrong.
-
Cutts… I sometimes wonder… You are still showing with a PR of 5 and on a site:raincoaster.com search, you are listed with 1580 posts.
I was up to 5 for a while back when I posted regularly. Now back down to 4.
I have managed to pull a couple client sites I took over from 1s and 2s to 4s within a year. Perhaps I should hire myself to work on my blog. Wait, I can’t afford me.

Yeah, but I actually have 3,910 Posts, plus a ton of category pages. So, not so good after all. Some of my most popular posts can’t be found by any search OTHER than the specific search on the raincoaster.com blog.
But I have noticed a weird thing; when you use the search, the HTML of the text widget above seems to bleed into it, because whenever you use the search box, three other windows, each to my blogging courses, opens up. I’d better fix that anyway.
-
Hmmm, half of raincoaster is missing. We should form a posse.
Yeah, I would look into the widget thing. Not sure if it is causing the issue, but you never know.
Have you checked webmaster tools to see if they are finding any errors or anything like that?
-
I have and they did. The problem is, I don’t know how to interpret them. Sheri was walking me through it. One of the issues is I have ten links to a page I deleted, and of course I can’t recreate the page with the same URL, it’ll always have a -2 on the end. I asked her if she could, since she’s staff, but no response.
-
Yeah, they might be able to create it.
If they can’t you will have to find and kill or change those dead links. I’ve cleaned up a good number of blogs with dead links when I got those famous OMG!!! Google hates me!1!! Halp!!! People are dying!!!! emails.
The thing is, you have to fix as much stuff as you can, then wait a couple weeks and then start all over again. Generally it takes about 3 rounds to get everything cleaned up, and some stuff such as b0rked incoming links are harder to fix since all you can do is ask the link b0rker to fix them. Some will, and some won’t.
That reminds me. I need to visit WMT’s and take a look at mine.

Done with those meta-tags… webmaster tools :) now what’s next for me guys, thanks for helping :)
-
If you’ve done that and it’s worked with no problem, the next thing is to familiarize yourself with Google Webmaster tools. I didn’t, and am regretting it now.
-
By the way, this is entirely ridiculous but if the current rate of views on raincoaster.com continues for the rest of the day (and there’s no reason it shouldn’t) my hits will be back to normal.
Just because I fixed one open a tag. Jesus.

Yes, I have had that selected for the last three years at least. I wonder if the video errors can be fixed by replacing the videos; lots of them are down.
I’m using a standard theme right now (why didn’t someone tell me Koi had tentacles? I’d have used it sooner) so whatever errors you’re seeing on the main page have to be built in to that.
