Meta Tags on display is this necessary
-
my meta tags are shown at the bottom of my public page can I mask them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
My meta tags are also showing on my public page. This allows anyone who looks at my page to click on edit and make changes – and includes these menus they can click on to change or get info:

How do I take this off my home and about pages?????? -
You misunderstand. Only the logged-in Admins and Editors of the blog can see it and use it.
-
When I click the meta widget log-in I cannot access your blog. I’m directed to my own.
User timethief Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as “timethief” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Connie Bickman”. If you are not “timethief”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “timethief” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
If you reached this screen by accident and meant to visit one your own sites, here are some shortcuts to help you find your way.
Your Sites …Those who aren’t logged in simply get a log-in box and that’s it.

However,
If you want to remove the Meta widget you can do that here > Appearance > Widgets -
Actually everyone can see it, but no one has access to your dashboard except you (or other Admins and Editors of the blog) when logged in. You can go to Appearance > Widgets and remove the widget.

You’ll probably want to reduce the number of tags to something less spammy, perhaps a dozen or so. This is FAR too many and will get you flagged as a spammer not only at WordPress.com but by Google and other search engines.

my meta tags are shown at the bottom of my public page
They aren’t meta tags. They are post tags.
Here are the reasons for non-appearance on the Topics ie. categories and tags pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-postsWhat you are doing (inadvertently) is called spamdexing AKA as tag spamming. The rule of thumb is assign the least number of relevant categories and tags to any post.
As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

can I mask them?
Do you care if search engines like Google index your content?
-
ok I will delete most of the meta tags but would point out that even when I had but five mt’s they still appeared with the comment link at the bottom of the page.

Hiding tags is easy: use Pilcrow or Albeo as your theme and they have the option to hide tags. Otherwise, either don’t use them, or buy the Custom Design upgrade and use CSS editing to hide them.
-
There are two approaches you can take.
1. switch to using either the iNove or Monochrome theme as those themes have the option to suppress both category and tag display > Appearance > Theme Options
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/inove/
http://inovedemo.wordpress.com/
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/monochrome/
http://monochromedemo.wordpress.com/2. purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and do the CSS editing to remove the tag display from Twenty Ten
-
Note: The Pilcrow and Albeo themes do not have the theme option of suppressing category and tags display.
