Meta tags on WordPress
-
Is there any way to add meta tags on my blog? I have tried to instal plugins for that purpose but can’t find the plugin editor, seems it does not exist on my dashboard. Please, advise. Thank you.

Meta tags are automatically added here at WordPress.com, and are optimized for SEO.
Plugins aren’t allowed here at WordPress.com, but the major search engines provide webmaster tools that give you detailed information and statistics about how they index your website.
You can verify your site, and access these tools by following this guide:

Thank you for your help. As I am a beginner in blog creating and using the WordPress, I do not quite understand everything: does what you said mean that I can’t add the keywords at all? If they are automatically added, why can’t I see them while viewing the my page source (I can’t see the description meta tag neither)? Btw, I followed your advice and verified the site on Google and Yahoo as explained in the WordPress explanation, but Bing wouldn’t verify my site for some reason.

That is correct, you cannot manually add meta keyword tags. Most major search engines stopped indexing meta keyword tags years ago, and the content is now indexed for keywords by search engines, which is what I believe Chris meant to say.
Bing is rather slow on verifying. I recommend trying again in an hour or so.
