Meta Widget in Sidebar

I would like to know how to add a Meta widget in the sidebar, like on my other site (fantagians4ever.wordpress.com). I found it useful to have it because I could easily go to the site’s dashboard without much frustration. But when I created the site and made changes to how I want the site to be, I did not find the Meta Widget in the sidebar settings. The the site’s theme is Penscratch 2 (I think).
Any help is appreciated.

The meta widget has been removed since a long time. So there’s no way to add it to your sidebar widgets.

That’s weird… I still have it for one of my blogs/sites, but not the other… Will there be a replacement widget? I really want one so I could easily access the site’s dashboard without much clicking.

Good to know that you found the link to your dashboard.
You can always to go your dashboard from My Sites > WP Admin which is on the left panel of your site.Also, I thought to share the links widget with you, in which you can set the links for blogs or sites you want to share.

I am not sure if there is an exact replacement for it.
It was retired as there’s a new dashboard/Calypso now.But if you want a link to your dashboard in the sidebar you can add a text widget and link it to your dashboard then.

New dashboard? Is that one like the old one?
No thanks about using a text widget. I know how to do that, but I’ll just use the dashboard link that I bookmarked instead.

I meant “old one” as in the wp-admin one.
There isn’t much differencebetween the old and the new, so I’m not sure why there is a need to change the dashboards.

I guess the best way to get to the dashboard is by going directly to the link (which is bookmarked)…
