Metadata, Server Access, Site Mapping and Theme Name Removal

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a few questions… I am an admin for the alzheimersandcaregiving.com blog site and I am wondering if I can customize the metadata of the site and any pages. Can I access server files via FTP?

Can I remove the name of the theme I customized from the footer?

Can we add a copyright at the bottom instead?

Is there a site mapping module installed? If so, how often does it generate a site map?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

Can I access server files via FTP?

WordPress.com does not provide FTP access – you can learn more here, including alternatives:

Keeping the theme credits intact in the footer is required. Please see #11 in our Terms of Service:

You may add copyright wording in addition to the existing credits, here are some methods:

All WordPress.com sites include an XML sitemap, which you can access at yourblogname.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml.

Update frequencies vary depending on the type of data. You can see a few examples on your sitemap above.
