Micro format structured data not working
-
I have tested my site on Google Webmaster tools, using the structured data testing tool. All the pages on my site seem to have a problem with the rich snippets, with the following error:
‘Error: Missing required field “updated”.’
Also a couple of pages are reporting the following error:
‘Error: Missing required hCard “author”.’
This is preventing Google from properly interpreting the site and therefore affecting SEO.I am using the theme Twenty Fourteen.
Please can you resolve this. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
We currently don’t have the tools set in place to resolve this yet. However, I think it’s a great idea. My suggestion is that you add it to our Ideas forum, which is periodically reviewed and considered for internal modifications: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
Additionally, I’ll add it to our internal, staff-recommended, idea list.
I appreciate that you brought this to our attention! Thanks much.

I am a little confused. This is clearly a bug – not a feature request.
This impacts the ability of my website to get search engine traffic.
I had understood the benefits of paying for a wordpress.com hosted service is that basic bug fixing and support is included. There are fixes that other users have posted online for the free version of WordPress, so I am not sure why it is not possible to resolve in a managed service.

Hi Dan,
I apologize for the delay in responding to you, Robyn has been out of the office for a few days.
I understand that you would like to ensure your site gets as much traffic as it can, however we have a responsibility to balance our development time across a wide variety of needs. The implementation of additional meta data does not affect the functionality of your site and has never been present up to now, so it would be classified as a feature request.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
