  Hi there,
  I would recommend setting up a subdomain: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-subdomain/
  
  That way, it is technically a dedicated site separate from your main site that can have a separate theme and setup, but it is still under the same domain as the main site. What is the purpose for wanting to set up a microsite?
