Microsoft Edge problems with visual Editor

    Hi, I’m using Microsoft Edge and the visual editor doesn’t allow me to edit text in tables. When I click on a space in a table, the cursor jumps past the table to the bottom of the page. I have to go into the text editor to edit the HTML directly which is painful when applying colors and bolding. This problem does not occur on Chrome. It started happening around Feb of this year. Previously the visual editor worked fine on Microsoft Edge.

    hi,

    I had the same issue using the wp-admin editor.

    However, the wordpress.com Editor worked fine.

    You can access wordpress.com Editor by clicking on Edit on your post or
    from WordPress.com > Blog Posts > click on a post

    I have tagged modlook for a Staff to help you with this.

    In the meantime, can you use the wordpress.com Editor ?

    Hi waratsea,

    It be great to know a couple of details:

    • Which version of Windows you are running
    • Which version of Edge you are using (you can find that information on supportdetails.com)
    • Can you send a link to the post or page you are having trouble with?

    Once I know more, I’ll see if I can replicate this behaviour.

    Thanks. Regarding the WordPress Editor, that does work, so the problem is just with wp-admin
