  Hey dougv00,

  I recently tried to help someone with what seems like a similar issue regarding MS Word documents and embedding. I’ll copy/pasta my response here for you in the hopes it’ll help.

  It sounds to me like you’re asking how to embed a document like .doc or .txt so these instructions will be slightly subjective to that end, but I will also link to other formats so you can check those out too.

  How to embed files using WordPress shortcodes:

  If you scroll down you’ll hopefully come across the file type you’re trying to embed.

  Additionally if you’re trying to embed an Microsoft Word document, try this. It works great.:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/word-web-app/

  For the above link, you WILL need to log in to OneDrive with your Microsoft account (or create one if you don’t have one) and upload your Word document, but once you have it’s a very simple process to get the embed code and paste it in your WordPress editor.
