  Hello, WordPress.

  I might be transferring my website to WordPress.org – since a more wide rage of themes are available there. (Although, I’ve been having several problems with installing WP.org). This message is not about those problems though…

  I have some questions.

  1) Will my site views and google rankings be affected if I move my website to WordPress.org?
  2) Will my posts/pages be automatically transferred to this new website?

  My website has over 300,000 views and is high in google – and I do not want to affect that.

  Depending on the settings and SEO (Search Engine Optimalization) plugins on your WordPress.org site, you won’t loose your ranking. A good SEO plugin can be found here.

  What about the Site Stats and everything?
  Oh and will it re-direct to my new blog

  The site stats cannot be transferred, so you’ll be staring fresh with those.

  In order to redirect your WordPress.com blog to the your WordPress.org blog, you’ll need to purchase a Site Redirect upgrade from the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard.
