migrate content from TypePad to WP.com

Please do not just give me a link to the help pages! They tell me to upload FILES from my computer. I want to migrate content directly from my old TypePad site to a WP blog.

Hi pombavou,
There’s no direct migration between TypePad to WordPress.com blog. You need to export your blog content from TypePad (refer to this page) and save the export file on your computer, for example, your desktop.
Then import the file on your desktop to your WordPress.com blog using the import tool which this support page will walk you through on how it’s done.
