  Hello,
  How do I migrate my followers from my wordpress.com domain to a self hosted one?

  I have a follow up question.
  Once my followers have been migrated, what do people typically do with their old sites? Should I delete it? Is there a purpose for keeping it?

  Hi there!

  That depends. If you migrated all your content, you might want to delete it.
  If you were not using a custom domain before and your users are used to visit your site under the WordPress.com subdomain, you can add a post with a new domain link.
  You can also purchase a site redirect to redirect all traffic from the old site to the new one:
  https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/.
