Migrate followers from .com to .org
-
Hi,
I just moved from .com to .org. I would love to have my .com followers automatically added to my .org followers. Is this something that you could help me with?
Many thanks,

Hi there!
I’d be happy to help! Can you let me know:
1) Your WordPress.com site your followers are at now?
2) Your new website address you want your followers moved to.
You will need the Jetpack plugin installed on your .org site and connected to your WordPress.com user account before we can migrate your followers.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for your help!
1) Followers are currently at: http://www.scopeandlens.wordpress.com
2) The new site is: http://www.scopeandlens.com
I have Jetpack installed and linked–please let me know if you need anything else!
Best,
Michael -
It appears that you connected Jetpack when your site was still under development and I get a connection error when I ran my pre-move test.
Can you disconnect Jetpack, delete the plugin, reinstall the plugin, and reconnect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account?
Once I get a valid response to your Jetpack, I will be able to transfer your followers.
Thank you!

Hi csonnek,
I just disconnected, deleted, and reinstalled Jetpack as you asked. Let me know if I can do anything else!

That worked great and you’re all set!
Your followers have been migrated to your new self-hosted WordPress.org site. You can check up on who is following your blog right here:

Have a great day!
