migrate from blogspirit

I have over six months of blog on blogspirit that I don’t want to lose. Has anyone successfully migrated from there and how long did it take?

I have never heard of BlogSpirit. I typed it into the forum search box and failed to get any threads on it. You also haven’t provided and link to it. My recommendation is that you contact support at BlogSpirit and find out if the blogs there are set up in a manner that allows their export before posting again. Do the blog there have rss feeds? Exporting and importing is not usually a lengthy process. Re-organization is where the time is spent.

You can view mine, if it helps: http://theanviltree.blogspirit.com

I just started a new WP blog with my own host, and I’m having the same issue. It turns out that they don’t let you download archives unless you have a PRO account, which is more for corporate entities.

Which means, in essence, that the year and a half I spent engaged and getting married is now permanently stuck there.

    (Unless you have a solution!!)

I see an rss feed in the sidebar and I think drmike or Mark may have a solution. Send in a a feedback and include a link to this thread. And as staff have just had a pseudo holiday please be patient when waiting for a reply. Best wishes :)

We put together a dirty RSS method to import. You can read about it here. I wouldn’t try it this afternoon though as I’m currently updating the software that runs the site.
