Migrate from custom publish to wordpress

    Hello!
    My company’s current home page is https://www.nordkappnh.no/ on a custom publish platform.
    I want to migrate it to wordpress, as it seems more functional and easy to use when having no experience in website-handling.
    However, I would like to try to build our current webiste on wordpress before paying anything, in order to see if it actually works. Since I already have a domain, it seems like I have to have a paid plan.
    Any way for me to get around this?

    I see you would like to recreate your site on WordPress.com for free. I’ve checked your account, and it seems you already have a Free plan with us. You can continue to use WordPress.com’s Free plan, but there are certain limitations to be aware of:

    What You Can Do:

    • Create pages for your services (e.g., Home, About, Services, Contact).
    • Use free themes to design your site.
    • Add basic contact forms and text content.
    • Publish blog posts to attract visitors.

    Limitations:

    • You must use a WordPress.com subdomain (e.g., yourwebsite.wordpress.com).
    • You cannot install plugins or use advanced design customization.

    • No eCommerce (you need a paid plan to accept payments directly).
