Migrate from self hosted to WordPress Business Hosting

    Hello!

    I am interested in migrating my website (Progressology.com) from a self-hosted site to a WordPress Business hosted site. I know there are some incompatible plugins which I cannot use in the business hosted site but I am most concerned about migrating the theme and any customizations and content I have on my site. What is the best way to migrate my site over?

    Hi there, if the customizations are custom CSS, then that could be copied over and applied to the site here. Were there any more extensive customizations done to the theme, such as Javascript or PHP changes?

    With the Business Plan, you can certainly install the theme that you are using.

    Hey Justin!

    You may want to try the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. Simply install the plugin on both your current site and the newly created Business plan site, then create an export from the current site and upload it to the new site.

    There will be a couple of steps required to get Jetpack connected again once the migration is complete, but this plugin will allow you to move all your content, including plugins and current option settings.
