Migrate Managed Websites to WordPress.com

I need information to make a decision as to migrating my Managed WordPress sites over to WordPress.com. One important factor is whether WordPress.com offers hosting of email accounts for each site migrated and how many email addresses are supported. Also, is there a cost for email hosting for a per site Business Plan?

The site I need help with is janicelang.wordpress.com.

  • Hi there!

We offer various ways to have a custom email on WordPress.com, but they are not included in our plans. You can read more about all the options here:

Having a self-hosted website that uses WordPress software is not quite the same as having a website hosted on WordPress.com.

WordPress.org refers to the open-source software, which requires self-hosting and self-management. WordPress.com is a platform that is optimized for the WordPress software; it includes managed hosting and provides many additional benefits for security, speed, and support.

We outline the differences between WordPress.com (our company) and the software WordPress[.org], here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.
