Migrate my subscribers to WordPress.org

    Hi,

    I have purchased a domain name and hosting and now need help migrating my subscribers from my WordPress.com to WordPress.org. Previously I had a free account with WP.com and purchased a domain through weebly to start my e-commerce and blog. After realizing that could have all been done via Blue host and I could easily import my blog posts, I went ahead and changed my domain’s DNS from Weebly to Bluehost. Now, I’m having trouble migrating my subscribers from my free WP.com site and I’m wondering if the free domain is what is preventing me from migrating because I technically I don’t have a domain name with WP.com since I had the free account. The only way I see my subscribers migrating now is if I change where my domain is registered and move to Weebly. Should I map my domain or let the registration expire with Weebly and register it with WP.com? Can anyone offer advice on this? I hope I was clear.

    Hi there,

    What is the URL of the WordPress.com site you want to migrate them from, and what is the domain of the Bluehost site you’re migrating to?

    To move WordPress.com subscribers to a self-hosted WordPress site requires the Jetpack plugin, so please make sure that plugin is installed on your Bluehost site and connected to your WordPress.com account.

    Then you can try migrating the subscribers yourself as explained here:
