Migrate WordPress followers to MailChimp?

  Hi,

  Is there a way to migrate WordPress.com followers to a MailChimp mailing list? (For context: In the near future I’ll be switching to a self-hosted site, and I’ll use MailChimp for my email subscribers. This self-hosted site is unlikely to use WordPress.org software when I do get ready to publish it, so the support documentation on migrating followers to WordPress.org doesn’t apply.)

  Hi there, We don’t have access to the list of our WordPress.com followers. You can download a CSV of any email followers you have from your People dashboard.

  Since you mentioned that you’re likely not going to be moving to an ORG install, you’ll want to advise your current blog followers in a post that you will be switching to MailChimp and to sign up there to continue following your newsletter.

  It does help, thanks! Kind of a shame I could lose some of them in the move, but I guess the ones who really want to stay subscribed will make the effort, right? Suppose that’ll show me what kind of a following I’ve really got.
