migrate wordpress followers wordpress to self hosted site

    Hello,

    I just transferred from misstache.wordpress.com to LeMisstache.com and I need help on transferring my followers and stats to the self hosted site, please.

    Hi there!

    To transfer your email subscribers and WordPress.com followers from http://misstache.wordpress.com/ to http://www.lemisstache.com/, please follow these steps:

    The Do It Yourself (DIY) option:
    1. On your self-hosted WordPress site, install the Jetpack plugin, connect it to WordPress.com with your WordPress.com username, and make sure the Subscriptions module is activated.

    2. Optionally, add the Jetpack Subscriptions widget to your sidebar.

    3. Optionally, on your WordPress.com site from which you’ll want to transfer your followers, post a notice telling your site’s followers that you’ll be moving, and that their subscriptions will be going along with you. This is because, while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site, which they can do if you’ve added the Subscriptions widget.

    4. Once Jetpack is connected and ready to go, and you’ve informed your readers about the upcoming move, you can transfer your subscribers right from your WordPress.com user account by following the steps outlined in the Subscription Migration Tool guide.

    The Staff option:
    You can ask Staff to move your subscribers for you. Before you contact them, please make sure you have installed the Jetpack plugin, connected it to WordPress.com with your WordPress.com username and activated the Subscriptions module (step 1 of the DIY method).

    After you’ve done that, add the “modlook” tag in the Tags section located on the right sidebar of this thread. This will bring your request to their attention. Please subscribe to this thread by clicking the Subscribe to Topics link in the right sidebar or check the box under the reply field that says “Notify me of followup posts via e-mail”. After you have subscribed, you’ll be notified when they respond so please be patient while waiting.
