Migrate wordpress.com blog to another wordpress.com, same account.

  I have a blog on jmcane.wordpress.com (with domain josemcane.com.ar) which I want to migrate to already created by me misexperimentos.wordpress.com (same WP account). I guess I have to “Change blog address”. What I would like to confirm is wether:

  – jmcane.wordpress.com will still be free for me to use after de transfer?
  – do I have to export/import the content between blogs?

  Hi there,

  If you hadn’t created the other site yet, yes, you’ll would only need to change your blog address following the steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  However as you have already done that, you’ll need to export/import your content. Follow the steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/#changing-your-blog-address-to-one-you-already-own

  – jmcane.wordpress.com will still be free for me to use after de transfer?

  Yes, it will be, just don’t delete it! ;)

  Thanks for your answer catiakitahara. One more thing, is there a way to redirect traffic or I’ll loose it?
