Migrating
-
I am trying to migrate my site from wix via cms2cms. I have purchased a theme from them and am ready to move my site over. I am having problems installing a bridge connection in the root folder with FTP.
If this fails the other option is to install the cms2cms pluggin but I don’t have the pluggin option on my dashboard
Can you help

It sounds like you are looking at instructions for moving to a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. While related, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different entities.
WordPress.com does not have FTP access nor plugin functionality (though WordPress.org has both). This may leave you in a tough spot, because I do not believe that Wix offers the ability to export content as an xml file (which is how WordPress.com imports content). You may be better served to set up a self-hosted WordPress.org site if migrating that content is crucial to your site plans.

Ok that makes sense to me. I have a whatbox account set up can I host my site from there. If so what do I have to do to get started

WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
