Migrating a domain

    Hello, we are contemplating migrating a domain from another hosting company to WordPress. Our hosting company also hosts/supports our company email addresses ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). If we migrate our domain to WordPress, what happens with our current email accounts?

    Hi there,

    We don’t offer email hosting on WordPress.com, but as long as you’re able to continue with your email hosting at the current provider, you’ll be able to add any DNS records required for that email to continue working on our end. In fact, when you transfer the domain to us, our system will try importing those automatically.

    If you cannot continue your existing email hosting, you’ll need to set up alternative email hosting and migrate your existing inboxes and archives there first, before you point the domain to us.
