Migrating ActivityPub from WordPress.org to WordPress.com

I’m migrating my entire site from WordPress.org to WordPress.com (exciting!) but I’m concerned about the ActivityPub plugin’s compatibility and the details of what I need to expect with a migration like this. I tried to reach out to the ActivityPub creators a while back and haven’t heard anything which is why I’m reaching out here instead.

    Some Details
Currently WordPress.org is still running the ActivityPub plugin and I haven’t transferred my domain to WordPress.com yet, but I will be very soon (likely after figuring this out). I’m planning to use the same domain and because of that, the same “username” for ActivityPub. I only have a couple of followers and they’re both test accounts of my own on 2 ActivityPub platforms (Pixelfed and Mastodon). I also only have a couple comments and likes that I want to keep, all the others are test comments and likes I did on those same test accounts. So, my main question is, will everything persist if I deactivate on WordPress.org and activate again on WordPress.com? Will I be able to use the same “username” as before, or will be locked up for some reason? If I can’t use the same username, then I’ll have some other quesitons. What’s the best process for this? For example, do I deactivate on WordPress.org and then transfer the domain, or transfer the domain first, or something else?

If there’s documentation on this or a better place for me to post, please share, would be happy to check out other options but this was all I could think of to try next.
