migrating back to wordpress.com

The site was initially built on wordpress.com. We moved from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress site on another webhost. We would like to come back to wordpress.com. The site is not small, it had over 3000+ blog posts with accompanying media files when initially moved and now has nearly 4000 posts with media. Our concern is how to properly bring the site back to wordpress.com without destroying any content or media.

While you will find the Import / Export tools in the wp-admin dashboard, there are other factors to consider too.

Please see the support article “Coming from a self-hosted WordPress site?” for detailed instructions on exporting your content and importing it to your new site.
