Migrating follower from wordpress to self-hosted

  Hello!

  I want to migrate my followers from my wordpress site ( https://thelostmango.wordpress.com ) to my new self-hosted site (herlostmango.com) but it keep saying that only blog owners can do it. I am both the owners of the sites and I activated jetpack and followed all the steps. Please Help.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @hermango, it looks like you connected the Jetpack site to a different username. Do you have another account with us?

  Hello I created my self-hosted site with the username @herfruitymango15 while I created my wordpress with @hermango. However, I connected my self-hosted site’s jetpack with my @hermango account. So whenever I log in to my old wordpress, @hermango, I can see two site and is able to switch sites between the two. When I followed the instruction and tried to transfer follower to my new self-hosted wordpress, it says only blog owners can transfer. I tried to make it work. I made both @hermango and @herfruitymango15 the admin of my old wordpress site to show that I am the owner of both sites. However it is still not working. Would you be able to do the transfer for me please? Thank you for all the help! XOXO

  Hello ! Thank you so much! I am just wondering if I decided to delete thelostmango.wordpress.com(@hermango) would that affect my new self-hosted website and followers? I am just going to connect jetpack with my new username @herfruitymango15.

  @hermango It shouldn’t, but I recommend just making it private instead: https://wordpress.com/settings

  That way if you do run into any trouble you can easily undo.

  Hello! How do I add a follow button creation https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/follow-button-creation/
  for my self-hosted site herlostmango.com (@herfruitymango15). It is connected to jetpack through my @herfruitymango15 wordpress account but the follow button creator keep saying “Please check you’ve entered the address of a WordPress.com or Jetpack-powered site and try again.” Please help. Thank you!
