Migrating from COM to ORG

    I am in the process of setting up a blog, however the free webserver I usually use is really letting me down with regards to uptime and access.

    I was wondering, if I was to start my blog on wordpress.com is it easy to export the content then import it into a wordpress.org based site that is hosted somewhere else?

    Finally, what level of CSS customisation can be done on the COM blogs at free user level? Reason I ask is that the main draw to hosting my own version of wordpress is the customisable themes?

    It is exactly as easy as using the Export and Import features, yes.

    As for the CSS, I don’t know, since I’ve not purchased that upgrade.

    Thanks for the reply. I did discover that it was as easy as pie a little after I posted. Sorry!

    As for the CSS customisation at free level – it is zero!

    I’m currently using a customisable header though which I quite like.
