Migrating from local dev using All-in-One WP Migration Plugin

Is it possible to migrate a new custom template combined with some (not all) of the content from an existing WordPress site using the ‘All-in-One WP Migration Plugin?’ I already exported the master file for the new custom template to start this process.

I understand the alternate solution is to migrate manually. The challenge is that I cannot access my local dev site right now to export the database and files separately. I have a 404 error (which happened a few days after exporting using the plugin).

Instead of waiting until I resolve this issue, I would like to explore if it is possible to migrate and combine 2 databases using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin? Any tips? Thanks!

That’s not the correct blog – BTW (Please disregard the last comment: “The blog I need help with is kathykimorg.wordpress.com.”)

The one I need help with is in local dev for nonprofit startup and I can’t access it right now due to the 404 issue. The site won’t load.

  • Hello there,

Since your site is hosted locally, that means you are using the self hosted version of WordPress, you should to seek help at in the WordPresss.org Forum.

Bear in mind these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only.

Please read about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here.

    Cheers.
