Migrating from WordPress.org

  I just created a wordpress.com blog (lorigreenberg.wordpress.com) and want to import my existing wordpress.org blog (beadnerd.com/blog/). Currently I don’t have access to an export function there (am trying to find out where my admin options went) and also cannot activate plug-ins (that also disappeared).

  I was able to download the files at the technosailor site and upload them into my wordpress.org blog files but cannot use them to get the WXR file I need because I cannot activate the plug-in.

  Is there a way to do this through my cpanel files? Or some other way?

  wordpress.com and wordpress.org run on different software but others have made this move recently (sunburntkamel and boles come to mind). I’m sure they’ll give you some advice tomorrow morning and in between using the forum search box may be helpful too. This may be helpful. http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=3700&replies=1

  Did you ever figure out how to transfer your .org site to your .com? I’m experiencing a similar problem to the one you had in December: can you give me some advice?
