Migrating my Free WordPress.com Blog to Business Plan

    Hello there,

    Hope you are doing well – I am Ajay from Bangalore, India.

    I want to migrate my current blog on (wordpress.com) to WordPress Business Plan with a new domain name.

    Could you answer my below questions:

    1. Existing User Engagement [Likes, Comments & Ratings]:
    Upon moving to Business Plan with a new domain, will the old comments, likes, ratings get migrated ? Or will they be gone ?

    2. Existing Image & Video Names:
    Can I retain the existing images on the new business plan or all of them need to be rewritten ?

    3. 301 Redirection from Blog > Business plan website
    Can I redirect using a 301- Redirect:
    – Main domain > New domain
    – Individual blogpost to respective blogposts on the new website
    – Individual pages to respective pages on the new website

    Nothing get’s lost or changed. Your site just stays as it is.
    You don’t need a 301 redirect, wordpress.com takes care of everything.
