Migrating Old Blog Posts and Overwriting Post Date

I am exploring using WordPress. I need to migrate older blog posts from a prior, non-wordpress, website into my new wordpress site. Can I manually overwrite the blog post’s date to what it was originally?
Specific Example: wmcca.org – You will see there is an archive of older newsletters. I would like to migrate the most recent years of this newsletter content into a new, wordpress hosted site, but I want to retain their original dates. If I copy / paste the old content into new blog posts here, they lose their old date. Is there a way to copy a blog post from 2015, into the site here and have it appear as a 2015 post?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • You can definitely back-date a post.

The process is similar to scheduling, only you’ll just be selecting a date in the past rather than the future: https://wordpress.com/support/schedule-a-post-or-page/

    Hi,

Yes, you can. In your dashboard go to posts, all posts, select quick edit and change the date and that will move the post to look like an older post.
