Migrating site to new user email

  The old administrator is no longer with the organization, and we need to migrate the site to a new email. However, since her email address has been deactivated, we can’t access the email link that’s being sent to it from WordPress to make the change. Please help.

  Hello, If you are able to log in, I believe you can then update the email address. A notification email will be sent to the original address (which you wouldn’t need to access) and a confirmation email will go to the new one. You’ll need to follow the instructions in the confirmation email to approve the switch.

  If you’re not able to log in to the WordPress.com blog, you may be out of luck unless you can somehow access that old email account. I read on the update email address page that support staff require an email to be send from the original account before they are able to assist.

  Thanks, micawbr, we had to reactivate the old email address, but we were able to do that and happily were also able to retrieve the needed link.
