Migrating stats and followers to new domain
-
Hi,
I’d love to have visitor statistics from my old site humanvarietiesdotorg.wordpress.com merged into my new site humanvarieties.org. Is this possible? Also, if it’s possible to transfer followers from the old site to the new, that would be great.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To migrate your subscribers the good news is that you can do this yourself. After you install and activate the Jetpack plugin http://jetpack.me on your wordpress.ORG install, you follow these instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site
Staff can migrate your stats for you after by you install and activate the Jetpack plugin.

I have the Jetpack plugin installed but I was not able to transfer followers by following those instructions. The old site doesn’t show up in the drop-down menu.

I see both the old and new sites connected to the account you are posting from. What exactly happens when you try to follow the migration instructions?

When I click on “Migrate followers from another WordPress.com blog” from Settings, I get a prompt to “Select WordPress.com Site” from a dropdown menu. However, the old site, humanvarietiesdotorg.wordpress.com, isn’t listed in the dropdown menu (only the third blog I have under the same account is listed). I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that the old blog used to have the same URL (humanvarieties.org) as the new blog.

I have migrated your subscribers and followers to your new site.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thanks! As I said above, I’d like to get the old visitor stats transferred to the new site, too.
