Migrating subscribers from WP.org to WP.com
-
I recently migrated http://puppeteersofpugetsound.org to http://puppeteersofpugetsound.wordpress.com/ (from WordPress.org to WordPress.com
How can I ensure that all the subscribers from the .org site got migrated to the .com site? When I look under Dashboard > Users I don’t see anyone. Will everyone need to resubscribe?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Staff can can move your email subscribers only. Followers using the WordPress.com Reader cannot be transferred because there is no WordPress.org Reader or in fact a community with shared in-house features like there is here at WordPress.com.
What’s required is:
installation and activation of the JetPack plugin;
posting both URLs for the underlying .wordpress.com blog and the domain into this forum thread;
tagging the thread with modlook in the sidebar;
subscribing to the thread so you are notified when Staff make the transfer. -
Ok Jetpack is installed and connected.
Need to migrate email subscribers/users from http://puppeteersofpugetsound.org
to
http://puppeteersofpugetsound.wordpress.com/
Hopefully adding “modlook” as a tag is what I was supposed to do next.
Just waiting for staff to make the transfer.
Thanks. -
Hi there, unfortunately, I don’t see any Jetpack subscribers for http://puppeteersofpugetsound.org that I could migrate for you.
Most people migrate subscribers from wp.com to wp.org (and you are migrating in the opposite direction), so the instructions that @timethief posted do not apply in your case — if you only installed Jetpack now, it won’t know about the readers who subscribed using a different plugin or feature.
