    Hi, can I know is it possible for me to migrate this entire website to another new domain that I have installed wordpress via my hosting provider?

    Hi there,

    It’s not possible to migrate an entire WordPress.com site, no, only the site’s content.

    WordPress.com uses a modified version of the open source WordPress software, so it’s not possible to download all your site’s files and upload them to another server.

    The only migration option we have is to export your site’s content using a regular WordPress export. You’ll find that option under Tools ->Export in the dashboard:

    After you’ve installed a new copy of the WordPress software at your new hosting provider (i.e. you need to create the site first), you can then import that file using the importer plugin you’ll find under Tools ->Import in the new site’s dashboard.

    Make sure that you don’t delete the WordPress.com site or set it to private until you’ve finished importing all the content to the new site. Media files are not included in the export file, but only get transferred when the import runs, and that process will fail if the original site is not publicly accessible at the time.
