migrating to squarespace

    Hello. I have a website run (?) by wordpress and I would like to transfer it to squarespace. First of all you need to know that I hardly know how to turn on a computer so am getting frustrated trying to do this via the support pages instructions.

    Squarespace says I need to ‘unlock my domain’ which I cannot do. When I sign into my wordpress account, go to ‘Domains’, click on my domain, I do not have the ‘edit’ option or the ‘transfer’ option. Please help!!!

    To transfer a domain to another provider, you’d need to have purchased a custom domain here on WordPress.com. The site you listed in the help request is just an empty site with a free domain. Can you tell us what domain name you’re trying to move there?

    I see a custom domain like your username, but that’s not hosted on WordPress.com servers.
