migrating to wordpress.org

I am trying to transfer my blog from wp.com to wp.org. I have hosting through Bluehost.com. My domain transfer to them has been rejected by Wild West Domains. I have contacted WWD, and they have said I need to contact you. I followed every step in the process, including retrieving the key, and un-privatizing the domain, changing nameservers, etc.
Can you assist?

According to our records, the domain was successfully transferred away. I can see this in the new whois information as well:

The same thing happened to me. I went and changed the nameservers on the wp.com site to the hostgator nameservers and I was able to switch over without the WWD run around. Now if I could only figure out how to get my stats xfered over. Check to see if your nameservers are still WP nameservers. I’m no expert but it worked for me. Hope this helps.
