Migrating Users .com to .org
-
Hi,
I downloaded Jetpack on my new .org site (cassinthewilds.com), but I don’t see the subscriber migration tool under “Jetpack > settings > discussions.”
I would like to move my followers from cassinthewild.com to the new .org. Can anyone help with this if the Jetpack migration tool isn’t showing up.
Thanks,
Cassie

Hello there, I’ve added the modlook tag for Staff’s assistance on this.

Could you confirm again you wish to move the followers from which site to which site?

Hi there,
I don’t see any Jetpack connection for the site, http://www.cassinthewilds.com, in your account. It looks like you used a different account, bookishcassie1, to connect Jetpack for that site. The self-transfer option is only available if the WordPress.com site and the Jetpack connection belongs to the same account.
Please confirm if this is correct, and I can transfer the followers for you. I just need you to confirm, as to transfer the followers back, for example, we’d need the other account’s permission to do so.

I confirm. Thank you! And sorry about that, I couldn’t tell if they were connected because it kept switching in-between the two.

Hi there,
To begin the transfer can you please either connect Jetpack to the WordPress.com user
cassiemannesin addition tobookishcassie1or post here underbookishcassie1confirming the transfer. Thanks!

Hi there,
The followers have been migrated. Please note that it can take several hours for the subscriber list and totals for your site to be updated, especially if you have many subscribers.
Would you also like to migrate your stats?
