Migrating website to wordpress

I have purchased a site through GoDaddy, but when I attempted to migrate to WordPress it informed me that someone else has the WordPress site.
How can we resolve this?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Thanks for the link! Can you try it once again and take a screenshot of the exact error message you’re seeing when trying to transfer the domain to WordPress.com? I see that this domain was previously used on a different WordPress.com account, so it’s possible that might be preventing it. But we’ll know for sure once we see the actual error message.
You can upload the screenshot to your media library at https://wordpress.com/media and we can look at it for you.

Thanks @lucasschellack. It looks like the domain was used here under a previous owner, so the system thinks it should be associated with another account.
I think I’ve got it sorted out, though, and the domain connection is in your checkout area. Can you try checking out again? If it gives you trouble, let us know. I’m also having our domains team take a look to see if anything else needs to be done.
