migration form wordpress.com to wordpress.org

Okay so I have bought my domain name through wordpress and have set up my blog through wordpress.com, however I have decided that I need the functionality of wordpress.org. How do I migrate my blog over so I can edit it through .org. I have read articles but most involve finding a host. Does this apply even if I bought my domain name through wordpress?

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.
