Migration from .com to .org Problem with Subscriptions
-
I migrated from .com to .org at the beginning of the month. I also had .com migrated my subscriptions over for me. Now they seem to be adding to .com site only. On my .org subscription site it says I have 874 WordPress Followers and 169 Email Subscribers. I noticed the number wasn’t going up even though I was getting emails that people were subscribing and would receive an email…still that number would not go up. Now over on .com it says I have 46 new WordPress Followers. But I don’t even have a button on my site to add to WordPress Followers…only wanting email subscriptions. I also have a Triggered Scroll Subscription Box.
Please help me to figure out this problem. I would like all my subscribers in one place.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Denise,
It’s usually a pretty simple explanation on how this is happening. People find your older WordPress.com blog through Google, the WordPress.com Reader, etc and they end up there. Even if they don’t have a button which you put in place, we always have the “Follow” button in the admin bar or one that appears to folks who are logged out.
Now if you’d like I can re-migrate these subscribers (or you can by following these directions right here: http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/). But for the time being you may continue to get new subscribers to this site. You’ll want to make sure that you A) aren’t directing anyone to this site by accident (if you haven’t already, subscribe to your blog and make sure that your links point you to your new .org site) and then B) don’t update your old .com site at all and make sure it is set to not be search engine visible under Settings >> Reading. This will help make sure it is losing ground on Google compared to your .org site.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to do what I can to answer them!
